The Lazy Pessimist: Short Stories, Poems, and Things to Finish Later if the World Doesn’t End

Have you ever gone grocery shopping and found that you forgot something on your way out the door? Then you tell yourself, “I’ll get to it later.” Only the “later” never comes, so slowly the importance of that item diminishes until it is almost forgotten. Some of my “laters” wait until tomorrow, some wait 20 years, and some are still waiting in the halls of my mind.

As I’ve somehow survived to middle age, I decided it was time to sift through all the old USB drives, computer files, college assignments, and scribbled-on napkins to finally put together at least one collection of my writings so I can feel some sense of accomplishment.

As stated in the title, this is a collection of short stories, poems, and some things that were just ideas buried under mounds of life that were more important at the time.
